Applying the reduce, reuse, and recycle principle in the hospitality sector: Its antecedents and performance implications

چکیده
Although the literature on eco-friendly strategies followed by firms is abundant, focus reduce, reuse, and recycle (3Rs) policies as cornerstone of environmental sustainability scarce. This study examines 3Rs strategy among 143 large organizations in hospitality industry. We use resource-based view (RBV) firm theory to test strategy's determinants its impact business performance a suggested conceptualization level. As hypothesized, green corporate governance management systems, along with slack financial resources, were found positively influence adoption strategy. In turn, implementation latter leads superior performance, measured terms operating profits Tobin's Q. The has several implications theoretical, managerial, public policy level where intriguing directions for future research are provided.
